An Iambic Pentameter is a metric structure, an Iamb is a poetic foot consisting of a stressed and an unstressed syllable in the sense that you're putting an emphasis on a syllable. A pentameter means there are five feet in a line, for example: Two HOUSEholds, BOTH aLIKE in DIGniTY.
